Re: Tommy's first try at Bubble Hash and Temple Balls
As far as drying it... I might need help on this.Marcus wrote: ↑Wed May 12, 2021 7:21 amNice Tommy. How are you drying it?
I like to pop my balls in the freezer for a few hours then get the fine cheese grater on them over a bit of baking parchment and leave them to air dry for a week in the house.
Then work them back together with a hit of hand heat and a squeeze.
I THOUGHT that once the hash was in ball form that's all you needed to do.
I let the hash dry for a day when it was in powder form.
Then I rolled it with a hot bottle of water to get it sticky and then rolled it in my hands to make the ball.
Maybe that's why the only two balls I got from it was the 20 and 73 micron from the first run.
Any advice?

The other day when I was high I solved one of the world's greatest problems.
Unfortunately five minutes later I forgot what I was doing.

Scrape the hash into small blobs on the pressing screen. Fold the screen over, jeyes cloth or towel underneath it (nothing fluffy, a kitchen tea towel is good) and a jeyes cloth or towel on top... Then I press the shit outta it to get most of the water out and into the towels.
Straight in the freezer then till rock solid, then I grate it with a fine grater over some parchment paper and pop it on a cake cooling rack in the lounge for a week, changing the paper after the 1st day and turning over the hash a couple of times a day so it all dries evenly.
If the hash starts getting warm, it won't grate so move your fingers to different parts to hold it and pop it back in the freezer when it gets difficult to grate too.
To press it when dry, I just put some in the palm of my left hand and then grip my thumb onto of the hash and make some beautiful friction...
Keep working it baby and then work the little bits into bigger bits you'll end up with stuff that will break windows.
Hope this helps man.
Smoking hash that's full of water and not dried proper makes me cough my hole up.

Nice looking balls mate but from what you described doing, there is a way to further increase the effectiveness of your method.
So first off, when you roll the balls out with a bottle of hot water, you need to squeeze the patty up into a ball and do it again and again until the trichomes have visibly melted. I can see from the grain in the second ball that this needs further work.
Then you should roll it into a ball and wrap it in cellophane like you get for gift wrapping (not cling film) and leave it for 2 months to cure.
I'm sure the third lot will melt down given enough work. The first ball needs more work too so it gets that sexy shine on it.
I deep dived Frenchy Canoli after seeing Polly's balls have a look on YouTube for his hash masterclass.

Re: Tommy's first try at Bubble Hash and Temple Balls
Well @TommyT ... You gave me the itch to get a hash run on so I've been outside in the pissing rain all morning with my little washing machine.
I am a little moist after the 1st run and my slippers are now on the radiator drying...

Re: Tommy's first try at Bubble Hash and Temple Balls
You're welcome
The more you work it, the more the trichomes will melt and that's what you're after for a nice shiny ball like Polly makes
