Nice topic Wizzard. Ive seen many change fans on boards due to noise, I did on a mars once, when you see price of quieter fans it makes you wonder why some manufacturers don't just put an in.

you could hack the light, what are the measurements of the board that's in there ? ? might be able to fit a board an driver in there for a cheap upgrade alternative .

so i forgot that i started this thread lol, so i ordered a new fan on amazon to replace in the light , was a brushless fan , 8 bucks , will see how long it last for this time around
