Strange Bud Formation

Stopped by my friend's house and checked his latest. I saw this crazy bud on the plant. I've seen photos before but first time in person.

That is weird. Do all the buds on that plant look that way or just that one?

Just the one bud all the other are beauties. It's called a Polyploid.

I dont think polyploids make great buds though, very leafy if I heard correctly

First time I've seen a caterpillar bud, tis a crazy looking thing too.

The plants look about ready to chop @Grumpy Toad if you`ve not already.
