Yes and no.... Depends where you are in the worldGMO wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 10:02 amDo you feel like the response or proposed "fixes" has been proportionate or effective to deal the issue?KD wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 9:55 am@ShapingFireuk My opinion is my 19 year old cousin would still be alive if it was a hoax. The nurses I know who had to deal with the initial outbreak wouldn't have spent nights crying themselves to sleep. The actual scientists researching how to fight it would have unified and outed it if it was a hoax.
My informed opinion is SARS - CoV - 2 is a very real Corona Virus that is highly contagious and has the added risk of making non lethal previous medical conditions very lethal in otherwise healthy individuals and has the ability to mutate into something much worse.
I actually feel sorry for the politicians at the moment. They don't have the facts and have to rely on their advisors to make decisions.
And no, not have I or will I watch a propaganda video made by God knows who, for monetary profit.
Wake up lad
I try avoid voicing too much; I see both sides of this discussion. I dont distrust the presence of a new variation of something we have long been dealing with. I also do distrust the morality of the characters being spotlighted as saviors in the current situation
I just see people almost arguing so many facets to the current climate that most is comparing apples to carrots let alone oranges
Thats my lil vent over
Take the first lockdown...
In the UK people were allowed to go out to exercise and people abused it. This led to wider infection and soaring R rates which has led us to where the UK is today. It was a suggestion instead of a demand for the greater good.
Where I live, we weren't allowed more than 25 meters from our houses and that was only if you owned a dog that needed to get out. You could go to the shop or the doctors and that's it and if you were caught buying non essential items you were fined. This was controlled by the military and the police and know what happened? We went down to ZERO cases here.
Then the lockdowns were lifted, tourists came back, along with the virus and we're still struggling to deal with it.
I think another lockdown is needed, but much longer, to eradicate the problem globally. The virus can't survive if it can't spread. Governments and banks will just have to write off global debt and start again. That won't happen though. The one and only reason we were let out of the first lockdowns when we were was because of the risk of collapsing the economy. They can't have that now can they!
I'm not pro government, I don't trust them either but not for the reasons most others follow. They help corporations instead of the public. Their interests are in making more money at our expense. The corporation's are the problem not the government. They have the power to buy and sell people through funding and what's a fine if you can afford to pay it but a bribe? They're polluting our world, destroying lives, and all for the gain of more money. All this anti Covid shit is just propaganda spread by the ignorant. If you actually stop and look at the situation, it's clear to see what's wrong.
Worst thing is, we don't need the government's or the corporation's. You yourself know how to grow food and you and I know, that with enough freedom, we could organise people to grow enough food for everyone. People know how to do things to help in other ways like make bricks, stitch clothing etc. Too many people think their ignorant opinion is too important to look at the facts and work together with other people though.
