I got myself one of these recently:

I've used it to clip my filter directly to the fan, no tape and it's really doing the job.
Thanks for that, mate.
It looks similar to what comes in the connection pack.

I figured that it was cheap enough if it was shite I hadn't wasted much but it's perfect, the neoprene seals it up nicely :

I think those clamp things are shit and a waste of money @The Aspie Toker i still need to tape the things up shit don`t tighten or even hold things in place properly, well one i tried using didn't so i don't use them now or maybe i should say i tried using those collar things once without much success. I just do old school thing and put duct directly on to fan and such like before taping over with aluminum tape works a dream.

What size fan and ducting you got out of interest ?

The testing thing well just sweeten them up with plenty of coffee or tea and get best biscuits out, chokkie hob nobs. :)
Thanks for the info, mate. I still think it's the better of the two evils. I don't have the strength any more for such things. I always found the old way very awkward too. I will probably still use tape as well.

It's 5" ducting. (rock wool type)
I did have a 5 or 6inch silencer somewhere but like fuck can i put my hands on it or you could have the fucker, maybe i gave it away already, that said if your using the silencer type ducting with fibreglass wrapped around it, i was told works as good as a silencer, but i was told you need to use longer straight runs at least 3ft to get benefits or silent`R effect, meaning stick a long 3ft run on end of your extractor see if that dims it down, it was what i was told from a good guy that one. :)

That's nice of you, mate, but I do have a silencer, but it's not installed. I bought it ready for the new tent, but as it wasn't making a loud noise, I stayed with what I had which is the fibreglass / rock wool surrounded ducting. The Phonic Trap is supposed to be quieter than the rock wool type with the added bonus that it's safer. No shit to inhale or become embedded into my hands.
