Fibro's curing experiment
Okay, so like everything in growing there are various opinions and things you can buy for curing your weed.
So here is my little experiment:
I have the following:
* 1x CVault from https://freshstor.com/
* 1x purple glass curing jar
* 2 x clear glass jars
One of the clear glass jars will be cured in the fridge, one in a dark drawer under my bed, this is the 'control'.
The CVault will also live under the bed, the purple glass jar will sit on the kitchen windowsill as it's the sunniest in the house, the theory with these is that the UV that gets through helps the bud cure, we shall see about that.......
I trimmed and hung my bud for a week, if anything, it's over dried. I then picked four similar buds from one of the braindamage plants, they were all around 4g each starting off. I popped a boveda pack in all of them so that wouldn't be a factor.
These are a pic of each taken with a macro lenses, sorry about the short depth of field:

Re: Fibro's curing experiment
Been waiting for this since that chat about it the other night. I'm really interested in the UV bottle and the fridge bottle. Don't think my misses will be happy with me fitting a UV light into the fridge but ya never know

Re: Fibro's curing experiment
I'll be burping them all daily and will leave them cure for around 6 weeks.
I will then test them over 4 days, vaping each as my first of the day so I can judge the effects.

Re: Fibro's curing experiment
Okay, a little update, they have been curing for just over 5 weeks now, I'm not really burping them anymore and things are looking pretty good with the rest of the harvest, a decent vape, not the best bud I have ever had but I'm more than happy for my second try at growing.
So the control first:

Re: Fibro's curing experiment
They all look and feel pretty much the same to be honest, the main difference seems to be the smell.
The fride one smells more potent and there is very little smell at all from the CVault. The smell between the control and purple glass is similar but i think the purple glass is slightly different.
I will give them all another couple of weeks and then start the taste test!

Re: Fibro's curing experiment
I keep mine in a fridge. I will be getting a dedicated one eventually, and a freezer, that comes in handy too for extractions etc.... or hash making.
Mine cures to best since I've been putting it in the fridge.
In glass jars and in a couple of bags too. Keep any fridge smells out. Like a triple wrapping. Still stinks though every now and again when I go raid it though

Re: Fibro's curing experiment
Well, it's gone six weeks so I tried the brain damage from the purple uv glass today.
It smelt quite nice as I was breaking it up to go in the grinder and was sticky to the touch.
It vaped cleanly with a sweet fruity taste although I thought I could detect an earthy undertone that I haven't really noticed in the rest of the harvest.
