The size was a good standard for what I was planning to use it for but it also gives me options for layout if that makes sense

In all honest I don't know if it's worth it yet

I have taken both routes so I can find out. It's very little effort putting these together but I wanted to be able to up or downgrade if needed so the diy option does give me that flexibility. I don't see this as a final design but more as an option as part of a modular design

Nice , I like that you have the option to spread the light bars to what ya need , getting maximum amount of light spread for your grow space

Trying to determine the best watts is hard, I think I read an article where commercial were targeting 32w per sq', it who knows when does when ya read stuff online.

how does your build compare to the invisible sun qb 250w kit , only ask as im not sure where to source parts to compare price,
did you by chance take any lux or par readings of your setup?

Hi and welcome, tbh 10mm just worked out to look and fit right. For watts, ice just aimed for 100w per plant ie 2x2 foot which is probably lower than recommended

The invisible sun panels are just about the best money can buy imo. Top bin cobs with the best available drivers. My build on the other hand is made with "affordable" parts as a proof of theory

I've not done a lux test but I will tonight I'm not back too late

can you pm my your parts source , my 1200w led had a fan crap out, so its off atm but I need light , borrowing a 1800w of same make till I can get some parts
