A double check.
Hi all, plants been going well so far.
Noticed slight greying on some of the leaves last night and thought better find out what it is today.
Had a look and they are already like this,
Im guessing this is phosphorus deficiency but just wanted to double check with you guys.
Its only on two plants of the same strain aswell, so guessing its the genetics.
Thanks

Re: A double check.
Cheers guys, i first thought it was ph but as its only two out of eight and the same strain, i decided it wasnt but after what your saying i have ordered more calibration fluid as used the last packet, last time.
@Chad.Westport its a telos 10 pro 80cm away from canppy (as advised by telos)
275 watts i think . I have two and will be hooking up the other up soon.
Im in coco again and the roots are white as you like poking out the bottom of the pots, i do need to dig out my soil ph reader, couldnt find it when i looked.
No @GMO they haven't bud, but ive just got a g.a.s enviro controller and set it up, which i bloody love.
@sageridder you'd think it would be all plants though wouldnt you? Not just the two of the same strain. Or maybe these strains dont like sitting at 5.8?
Cheers all

Re: A double check.
Been thinking about that today @Chad.Westport and the run off and soil are 6.8 so slightly high, next feed i will run phd plain water through them, to bring it into range.
So as the ph as actually been constant im guessing the single affected strain, just doesnt like a higher ph at all. Whereas the others are quite happy sat up there.
Im gojng to flush a couple litres through them all at a ph of 5.0 and try bring it down to about 6.0. May take a bit more but dont want to overwater them.
This sound ok to you?
Cheers

Re: A double check.
Can do the same in soil with a slurry test. You mix a sample of root zone soil with distilled water and ph it. Check YouTube for exact procedure. Nice to use as a cross reference doing a ppm test if ppm low it's eating, if high cross reference with ph and what nutrients are absorbed at what ph to see what she's deficient in.Chad.Westport wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 7:24 pmIf you are in coco, the run-off will give you an accurate picture of the soil Ph and the nutrient load by checking EC or ppm. This is a massive benefit of coco. If you feed at 6.0Ph but it comes out at 5.6Ph, then next time you water, water 6.3 ph and check the runofff. The same adjustments can be made to your EC /ppm to ensure you are getting the feeding right as well.
So the run-off of the coco will tell you everything we are curious about @Redz Medz

Re: A double check.
Hey @Chad.Westport glad to see im learning lol.
Are these your own made strains?
I didnt think 5.0 would be too bad as ive been feeding 5.8 since day dot. The coco mix must have been a really high ph level this time round, even though your meant to have to ph it first. (i should have checked lol)

Re: A double check.
yeah id say dont try swing it flushing with high pH water. just increase the volume and reset the media. running 5.0 is pretty acid and close to the point heavy metals become water soluable. still with 5.8-6.2 in
