Re: Minty Animal Cookie Grow Diary - Dex's Special
Roots have been contained since I upgraded to the 'Root Socks' rather than 'Sheets' - the Socks work awesome and defo solves that original problem.
The AutoPots do not drain mate, they are just basically Gravity feed containers that allow a fill cycle followed by a 'supposed' dry cycle, I still don't understand how they work as they baffle my brain but they do seem to work with the back plants at least LOL
I have not actually checked that the floats are full etc as I upgraded the pipes and floats and it wasn't until the last minute the older design failed so I am confident in my new setup as far as clogs go (I will check tomorrow) but the plant doesn't look under watered.
Main thing I suspect in terms of holding onto water or not is that the front one sits next to the air intake so maybe this is drying it out more than the other. but that intake fan is now feed from my bathroom so only really intaking quality air that is warmed etc. and even if it did dry out the medium faster the design of the AutoPot would just refill it.
To clarify they are both Animal Cookies but are from seed rather than clones so technically as per the Melons they are not identical as would be the benefit from your ORIGINAL advice to grow from clones ;o)

since it's gravity feed have you checked to make sure your pots are all level... I'd assume lower pots would get more water. just a thought

Re: Minty Animal Cookie Grow Diary - Dex's Special
Appreciate the thought buddy but as far as I know the AutoPot valves should negate any differences in pot height as long as the Res is above the floats etc which it is. I do have the pipes going up etc after coming out of the splits in the main pipe if you know what I mean and that doesn't seem to bother them and they still fill correctly. I just checked both floats and they looked ok.
It could literally just be genetics as I do put the healthier plant in the back so gonna just roll with them and see what happens on the next grow, cause 3 times would be more than a coincidence.
I gave them a little defol and took some more pics while I was up there checking the floats and they both seem to be giving it some on the stretching front:-

Re: Minty Animal Cookie Grow Diary - Dex's Special
Thanks @Rassensi mate, I 'may' of caused the stretch due to feeding too much CalMag which apparently locks out something and causes stretch but I still have plenty of room as the main lining kept them low for starting flower. Hopefully they calm down a little now ;o)

Day 97 - End of Week 4

Front:-

Back:-

TentCam:-

Basically just chugging along with the AutoPots - there are signs of numerous deficiency damage in the leaves underneath the canopy but just gonna wing it for now...
