-=Flood table talk=-
so, i have been into the 5 gallon bucket approach and growing massive trees. now, the issue im running into is trying to stream line or rather reduce the amount of nutes and water i use because i use the best water and nutes money can afford. I have researched heavily into flood table technique or Ebb & Flow as some old heads remember it, and asked a lot of growers that seem to be doing well with this process but i cant seem to get them to divulge their set up details with me. I heard people who use the 4 inch rockwool cube method often use felt to line the bottom in order to get the roots to have more surface area for nutes but that's about where it stops as far as info. I understand i need a flood table, big sized res and a ebb & flow fill and drain kit as the basics. How many times a day do i flood the table in both veg and flower? does it matter what temp i keep the res water at? would it be more beneficial to constantly keep a 1 or 2 inch deep film of flowing recirculated water going through the table?

I once knew a chilli grower who used the ebb and flow method, but I cannot remember the details. I know it was a success though.

I think ebb and flow got refined to either NFT or flood and drain. Depending which way you wanna go

Re: -=Flood table talk=-
I have 2 flood tables but they are in the shed unused - went to NFT - NFT is king :D tables are too much bulk, high up, those damn clay pebbles, etc.
Have a look at the GT range of NFT's - low profile, run 24/7 and imho give better results :)

No. You cut as many holes in the plastic top as you like. My Res are 80l each ( 2 nft gt901's ) also they are nice and low profile since they basically sit on top of the Res so don't need to be too high up :)
