DIY QB and cob light.

The cob from Estonia has arrived.
Its going into use tomorrow.
I've put a lead on and tested it draws 59.8w.
Very pleased with the quality and components used.

@2-Scoops I use 55W TGL Star 60s in my tents at the moment but I agree what you say, you need more power. Dont get me wrong, I'm pulling about 55 - 60g off a plant using 1 in veg and 2 in flower but I know I'd get more if I had the Star 100s

The Optic8+ on that site is the bees knees of COBs but I dont need a tent big enough to use it. Probably better for my marriage to be honest

Tbh @KrazyDave i think LED are wank in comparison to HPS lighting when it comes to growing big fat frosty stinky buds, dont get me wrong they grow nice bud but they`re certainly not grown to HPS standards. My new thing is doing a mix of LED and HPS combo, best of both worlds i suppose. I dont think led grows more solid buds either, i tried to convince myself it did cus i hardly got any bud, but nah if its gonna be solid bud it will be whether LED or HPS grown. Obviously just my opinions from what ive seen and done and that`s not much on led front, prolly cus i think what a load of pish "led my arse" type thing, i really dont know what the hype is with LED grow lights mate, maybe its me growing with them wrong, but feck knows im not biggest fan as you can tell, maybe ive been spoilt all those years growing with hps lights .

Each to their own mate innit. Personally, I find it just as good. Maybe the buds arent quite as large but they're deffo just as dense along the top of the canopy. My last grow was a blue dream by Humbolt and the buds were like little golf balls! The thing I like best is the ease to keep heat down with them what with living near the equator. HPS was a headache for me. Dunno, if you remember all my cooked plants and Vlad and @Captain Beefheart ripping me for it back in the day hahaha
