Also doing all air hoses and feed hoses in black return pipes are orange but I don't see light getting through them.

the chiller I am looking at can handle 180 liters an hour so about 54 gal an hour if I run return bucket to pump to outflow bucket through chiller to pots in an 18 gal system thats 3 full changes cycles an hour. is that enough?
Everything I read says 7 times an hour. So how about return and last bucket just chiller out and back into same bucket second "end" bucket pump out to circuit?

Might do waterfall system. Seems the chiller would be more effective.

i built a waterwall rdwc system a while ago using buckets
i did make some changes that were not in the guide
1. i changed the bottom return pipes from 19mm to 25mm iceline (only reason for iceline was i couldnt find standard 25mm at a decent price
2. switched to a larger airpump and waterpump mainly because i could
3. changed the bulkheads on the bottom from uniseal to standard plaastic when i changed to 25mm iceline main reason i changed from uniseal was i couldnt get an acurate od measurement of the pipe

You will have a hard time sealing a round bucket to a 2" bulkhead fitting . unless u do some mighty fuckeroo ,
You can get some that a prefitted for round cisterns but cost a fortune to say the least . youre best off with square buckets pal , trust me im a plumber lol its doable but get ready for swearing
