Why does HPS weed look glossy

I think it’s also just the fact that a lot of us new inexperienced growers are using LEDs and a lot of the people using HPS know what they’re doing. I was interested in the difference myself so I ordered a 1000W DE to run alongside LED and find out. One day it will arrive. Ha.

aye trex like i said it can certainly grow dope ,now i`ll find out if it can flower like my trusty sunmaster

oh it will Capt , used the sunmaster dual specs too , they great too .
Led youll see buds are more compact and heavy imho .

Only thing with led is less deeper light penetration then hps

I think what you're seeing is due to the light and not the plants. Here's an example

The plants look terrible under the LED but it's camera tricks. They are actually not that bad and indeed shiny.

The shine just means that the leaves contain high levels of brix. This means your plants are healthy :)
