Will pin hole light leaks disrupt your plants?

Post by wutang »

Hey all

I've noticed my tent has some pin hole leaks around the zippers and some on the corners. Has anyone ever grown with light leaks and not had plants hermied and stessed out?

Bless up
Wu

Zip yourself in the tent in the dark, spin around a few times and just sit there looking for a while.

Now try and find the zip to get out. :oik!:

If you can see light, so can the plants so use a bit of gaffer tape to cover any noticeable holes. BUt them zip and corner pin holes are normal on most tents.

No they don;t stress plants out, growers do that with all their lotions and potions.
Yeah I can't imagine that tents stay 100% light proof even if they begin out like that due to zips and stretching when assembling. Im scared to open my shed as my lights off are during the day..incase a bright ray of light enters via a hole :barmy:

My black and white sheeted door has a shed load of little holes in it i can see lighting shine through outwards when lights on, ive never had a hermie in their yet. Don`t get me wrong its not advised but im lasy and every time i put tape or a weedy sticker over one hole another few appear.

My oldest tent has pin holes all the way through the front door. I think getting herme's are more than one contributing factor of many possibilities? Plants get moonlight outside.

Stress usually triggers a lot of things, much like humans too

I've never had a issue with a few pin holes of light.

Yeah I've always had different holes here and there on the tents but never had an issue to be honest. I don't think such small amount of light can make them hermie anyway.
