Re: Macro photography
So many hairs I had no clue about. Drove me nuts. Ha. I’m hoping this new iPhone 12 Pro Max with an added macro lens and a tripod will take some cool shots. Need some flower on these plants before I can find out though. Ha.Chad.Westport wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 1:57 amI love the bud porn. I have a pro camera that I use but I need to get a nice macro lens. I love how the buds can look like alien worlds when super crisp and zoomed in. You also have a tendency to find some arm hairs in there though lol

Re: Macro photography
I didn't get the kit mate I just got the 100mm macro lense on its own, i didn't know what half the kit was like you say . Some lovely shots
Yeah phone technology has come a long way from the old nokia 3210 . Though I can't get my macro lense to operate on the wife's pixel 4 so I just use my old pixel 2 with a single lense.
This has given me a kick up the backside to learn how to use the dslr properly and not just on auto intelligent mode, tried watching a vid on YouTube and it just went right over my head

Re: Macro photography
@Ukbudz It isn't as difficult as one would think to use a DSLR in manual mode and do everything yourself.
If you don't have any mates that can help you out my suggestion would be to take an online course to learn the basics when it comes to all the settings you can do yourself to control the outcome.
The advantage with manual settings for me at least is that i can control every aspect of the pic from Depth of Field to Focus, Aperture, Brightness and more.
Had i lived in your vicinity i wouldn't mind helping you out at all but i imagine that you live in the UK while i live in Germany so that might be a problem.
Wish you good luck mate.

Macro photography
Nice pics i wish i had the want to learn this stuff . I have a big Cannon camera with lots of lenses , whole outfit worth like 5k that i bought last year .
The only thing i can really do is hit the "take picture button" and zoom in n out lol
Seems the more i adjust things the more it disadjusts

Re: Macro photography
@Norseman I've had a rough play around in manual mode but like you say I think some sort of course going forward will definitely get me off on the right foot.
Thanks for the generous offer mate but unfortunately I do live in the uk
