can you tell how your plant will flower?

Post by longtimelover »

I'm into my final week of Veg and plan to switch to 12/12 over the weekend

is there anyway of telling how well the plant will flower?
my plant never really grew tall - though I'd say there are plenty of tight nodes and off shoots

I've fimmed once and topped 4 or 5 other nodes, and also defoliated to maximise light to underlying leaves/nodes and focus energy on growth

I did lose a node but after struggling to attach it, decided was not worth it so close to switch to flowering ( not sure if i was right)

here are some pics

Its difficult to tell unless you ae growing a clone you know well. Even the same strain from seed may act differently. Have a good read up on ghe strain is my advice and see if you can find any examples. A safe rule to go by is your plant will likely double in size for flower.

Yes I'd rise the pots off the floor too..Flowering..you never know mate. They might double, they might triple in size..they might just increase slightly. Really depends on the strain, on the environment and many other factors. If you don't want them to stretch too much, try keeping the Lights on and lights off temperatures as close as possible.

Thanks, yeah I moved the tray out, will put it back.
Will that be enough elevation or should I raise a bit further?

Its just to allow flow to the roots. I once nicked the wifes baking tray and grill thing that fitted in it - worked well :D
I personally would give a little longer, perhaps a week but its space dependant.
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

Thanks, have used the front grill from a floor fan 😏

Plan to switch on Saturday, Sunday, but can stretch it if needed.

lol you need something for excess water mate - save the roots getting overly damp and the carpet getting ruined ;)

There's an air gap between the plant and base. Plus a tray underneath the tent base. I could stick my standard 40cm tray back in?
