Extraction 150x120x200
Hi there
I have a 150x120x200 tent. The actual growing space is 120x120x200 and the extra 30cm wide section is for propagation.
Will my 5" rvk 220m3/h E1 and rhino pro still give it enough negative pressure. Max one bend on acoustic ducting. Or do I need to upgrade. I have the same setup in my 120x120x220 and there's good negative pressure.
Thank you

Re: Extraction 150x120x200
Good morning @wutang
The minimum you need for your space would be about 320m3h and you're below it ..with 1 bend and the filter I'd say under 200 m3h. It will manage but if temps go up or grow a very stinky strain you will have smell leak. Also If you're opening the tent widely to attend the plants way higher risk of smell leak. The fan will be running 100% all the time and the filter will be gone quicker. I'd say go for at least 6'' l1 rvk fan and get a fan controller..you will be running it on 50% most of the time. Quieter, runs cheaper, and lasts longer

Re: Extraction 150x120x200
@Bulls
This is me being shit and not detailing with first post. So basically the tent has a separate propagation area so the main area is 120x120x200. Ill only ever have 2 plants in there, 600w/400w HPS DUAL Spec. In summer Ill switch to LED.
The duct run is about 1.5m to 2m tops. Acoustic. So I may just be okay but appreciate what you're saying. Ill give it ago and if I don't get decent neg pressure, I'll upgrade.

Re: Extraction 150x120x200
You should be okay running it mate, if you already have them. But if you were to buy them now , that's what I'd recommend. You will definetly need to switch to LED in the summer, and you don't have to get rid of the 5 rvk and filter as if you get a controller you can wire them up to the intake and have active intake. Filter is good for clean fresh air.

How would I position it for an active intake with filter? Or have I misread it. Always pictured intakes without filters attached. What controller would you recommend / do you use? Thanks

Re: Extraction 150x120x200
That's the controller i'd suggest :
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1507&hilit=ecotechnics
And I'd say either to pull air throught the filter from your intake place or you can push throught he filter if you have room in the tent to put the filter in.
Obviously you can get rid of the filter , I personally never used one. But that's up to you :)

Re: Extraction 150x120x200
Hi @Bulls just a quick one, the propagation area isn't actually separate lol. After putting it up, its separated by a mylar sheet to split the tent up, but not zipped or light proof or anything like that from the other side. So its back to square one in terms of the entire space 150x120x200cm of area. I have yet to wire everything up, but do you think my 5" will cope? Im happy in regards to heat as I can switch between 400w and 600w bulbs and in summer LED.
In my 120x120x220cm the 5" gives me decent negative pressure with 1 passive intake and the sides sucked in but not majorly where it feels like its a strain.
I guess I'm going to have to try it anyways, but it sucks buying another filter and extraction combo..but needs must I suppose.
Cheers
