Perfectly normal.

Good thing to do if it's rising, is ph it to 5.8 (FOR EXAMPLE) and let it rise to 6.2 then the plants get the swing in ph so all elements are available at those different ph levels. Then just drop it again to 5.8.

If you look at a ph availability chart, some elements are less available at 5.8 than 6.2.

Or add a splash of silicon and that keeps the res ph stable. (normally)

But use the ph swings to your advantage. :oik!:

Thanks Marcus
I like the idea of lowering it past normal, work with it fits my philosophy,I’ll be doing that this evening,
I was hoping autopots would be less maintenance

As Marcus says, its normal and to let it swing is actually a good thing as long as in range.

High I reread the answers and I am using an air stone in my reservoir, why don’t you use them?
I needed to get a small pump anyway to transfer water around,so when the shops reopen here I’ll get some silicone too

Ive not used airstones for donkeys years now mate since my pump broke many years ago. I do an 80ltr mix set my ph and it is still same 6 or 7 days later, well that`s if i was to check it, but once my ph is set in my tank its set, im not messing about checking it over n over daily, fuck that for a game of soldiers mate, i`ll check it if plant starts to look a bit dodgy but im of the thinking if plant looks good don`t sweat on it and my plants look sound mostly and certainly good enough for me to not go running around checking it all time, it would fry brain even more so :D
