transerring seedlig Questions

HI All,

I'm planning to transfer my 4/5 leave seedling and wanted to confirm some stuff I've read online

1) is transferring from a 4inch pot to the final container ok? its a 23cm diameter fabric bag?
2) am I right to only use 50% nutrients for pre-soaking the Coco mix?
3) should I switch off the lights and avoid watering for a day or 2 days after the transfer?

its better to pot them up in stages, but 23 cm isnt all that big so you will be ok
50% of nutrient? id be starting them at 0.6/0.8 ec, ph 5.8
no water them daily, saturate the coco till you get run off, before you put the seedling in there.

on 2) Canna recommend 11mg A &B plus 10ml and 13ml of 2 others per L - so planned to use about 5ml of each in the pre soak. But I will aim for those EC and Ph levels

do you have an ec pen and ph pen? if not , then you will need to buy them, if you are growing in coco.
the recommendations on the canna nutrients are always way too much, so i would use the ec meter to determine whats going in.

and no - dont switch the lights off after transfer, why would you want to do that?

when you say canna recommend 11mlA&B, then 10ml and 13ml of "the others" what are you reffering to?
What are the others?, if its cannazym and rhizotonic, then , i would forget the cannazym till you have a root system, and just go with the rhizo, the A and the B

Alll you need to use from canna is Rhizotonic at 2 ml per L and depending and I'd start with about 0.5 ml per L of each Canna A&B Or as billy said ec +0.3/5 above your background water. Make sure yoiu pH the feed before you feed them. I'd water every other day after potting them up for a week and then crack on watering every day until you get runoff. Make sure to give them good watering straight after you pot them up(untill you see some runoff).

ahh, i went for 1ml per L of all 3

may have had disaster though. the medium didn't hold as I turned it :( managed to get it in and softly straighten things up, but not sure what will happen

I recommend like 2ml a and b per 5l litre and 1ml rhyzo they dont need much at all , nute lock slows you down more then it being hungry
