https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... ution.htmlCriminals caught in possession of small amounts of heroin, cocaine or cannabis will escape prosecution as long as they are involved in a treatment programme.
West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson is backing the £60,000 DIVERT scheme which is intended to 'help break the cycle of crime relating to drug offending'.
According to figures released by the PCC, drug related crime currently costs the West Midlands more than £1.4 billion each year.

its not about legalisation though, if you read it. its about saving courts time with all these bad bad people etc who are in there every week, after getting caught .
they are wanting these people to go on to the programme to rid thierselves of this "deadly poison" (lmfao), not accepting that weed is a harmless social pastime. They are justifying it by saying that 80% of them who do dont re-offend.
i would love to see what thier treatment for smoking green would amount to too. i bet it would mention psychosis, and they would probably bring out the old reefer madness film from nineteen oatcake.
Bit of a joke really, but fair play for them trying to help the serious addicts out....oh wait no.... theres no residential treatment facilities thanks to the Govern-bents cut backs........oh well it makes a good headline for this week.
waste of time.....
