Yea like minty said check it all but If you weren’t hanging off the light when it blew it’s more probable to be the switch as that’s the point when the bulb and trip happened , then no light comes on after the fact
My thinking is old skool mate, the bulb blowing, tripped the electrics in the first place, @The Aspie Toker changed said bulb while stoned and pretty much monkey swinging on the pendant while replacing the faulty bulb. Happens all the time mate ;o)

@The Aspie Toker is your fitting actually a Pendent type like my pic mate? These are mostly 're-fitted' without the correct 'wire-swing' to actually capture the load (@Hydro will know what I mean)?
I've just checked, it's not the pendent type.
The three switches - from left to right are...
Bathroom
Extractor fan,
rear hallway light (The one that's blown)

Na get somone dude lights are the only thing in a house that’s not straight forward as they sound
The bathroom light still works, and that is within those 3 lights. I haven't tested the fan as we rarely use it. I'll do it tomorrow - just in case the fucker pops again.
aspie chk wat you call the socket for a broken wire TURN OFF THE POWER AS I KNOW WHAT YA LIKE to be safe
Ie socket is called a light Pendant................ my guess thats where the fault is :Stoned: :Stoned:
It's dark right now. I'm not sure which fuse it is that I have to turn off. I know it wasn't the end one as that turns off everything.

I am thinking (and hoping) that it is the lightbulb end. I just hope there's enough wire to reattach it. There wasn't when the shower unit started smoking years ago.

I don't think there's a pendent as I managed to "bayonet it in" without it swaying around. I think it's closer to the ceiling. I'll have to go downstairs and look.
If it is this type mate then it is most likely the switch as unlikely you would have disturbed the wires:-

Different design, but yes, that type.

True, so one option would be to 'turn off the electric' AND / OR put your Aspie Suit on and just take the switch off the wall - not to mess with the wires, just to look for any obvious loose wires. Same with the light fitting if nothing is obvious in the switch.

Otherwise just report it to your landlord mate and get them to sort it. It shouldn't be a big job and you can always pull the sick person in cannabis/covid isolation room ;o)
