Pulled the trigger on one for Science:-

End of the day I don't need to turn it on, and will mount it in a specific area of coverage to see if it makes any difference, for £17.49 why not...

4 ft Zoo MedReptiSun 10.0 UVB/UVA Bulbs
These bulbs were chosen because they reach the deepest and furthest away.
With these 10.0 bulbs penetration is 18-24 inches from the light.
he older 8.0 or 9.0 bulbs were 12 inches or less which did not give much room for plant location in my 8x15 room

That's what me going use one day 2 x T5 fittings 2 x lamps strapped vertically in each corner of me tent

I would recommend reading the High Lights Australia test on UVB, UVA and near UV effects on THC. Its on RIU.

Results are interesting. Simply put, it seems that near UV (around 400-430nm give or take) increases THC better than UVB or even deep UVA.

Means we can possibly use near UV spectrums to achieve higher potency with little to no damage to plants, and most importantly ourselves.

UVA/B/C Discussed within the Friday Night HangOut - with Special Guest - Invisible Sun

I had to link it ;o)

On a side note I have the likkle bulb and have hooked it up to a Hive plug in scheduler and will try it out for some bro science. Planning on bursting it for about a minute every 15 mins or so unless someone has a better baseline or suggestion to go with? Hopefully the bulb in it's final position will be limited to coverage over a specific middle part of the plant which is already fecked so makes an ideal candidate for the test?

:idn:

But I am gonna be doing it - cause I am a DICK for Science and learning ;o)

Minty is a child born from a mating between Josh and GMO - not sure which one was the Biatch ;p)

Well it's in the tent and only a little 26watt thing - scheduled to come on for two one hour bursts per day and only really covering a small part of the plant.

Coverage is as follows with the main tent lights off:-

IR camera to see what sort of area is being effected:-

Will see it makes any noticeable difference.

Just noticed @Invisible Sun now offer a UVA strip Looks really nice - time for an upgrade to my Tropical bulb I reckon:-
The ISH UVA 8 is a 8 piece uva based pcb which consists of 385nm , 395nm and 405nm wave lengths

Designed to be ran during the 12 hour light cycle the addition of UV can benefit your crops.

Cool it does make a flavorful difference and the density of my bud seems to have changed since I installed my uva 3d printing cure striparound the entire grow room, the one thing I've noticed is that the respiration rate increased after the lights out so be sure to watch the humidity levels could be a fluke but let's test that together please..

My light strips are very dense, I did the 2-4 hour on off with them now I'm cycling the uva with the lights schedule, I figure they dont get much of a break in the wild. I know there is a gradient to the ppfd. However I've bulked up my second zkittles=oss run by defoliation and uva 12 hrs on.Image

They are actually on in the bottom picture
