Last time I made an rdwc I uses 1.5 inch, still too small!

the master always remembers to change his res and check PH, what makes you think otherwise ?
and 1.5 inch pipe is fine, ive never had a blockage using it in 10 year.....

My fault, turns out I was using 1 inch! no wonder it didn't flow for shit
