indoor grow starter
Hi All,
new member here!
I've been living in the Netherlands and am finally ready to take advantage of the home grow rules here!
I've got a beginners kit from Mars Hydro on the way with the TS600 Led light and 60x60x160 tent s the main parts and the extras that are needed.
I plan to start growing next week, i have one auto flowering seed and a selection of feminized seeds.
Currently trying to work our which subtrate to get - leaning towards a lights soil with perilte (sp) mixed with Coco subtrate - no idea which brands to go for yet, any advice? also thinking of finding the fungi additive for the subtrate
still working on what nutrients to use, i have a back of easy boost granuales, was thinking of adding this to the autoflower and then getting some liquid nutients for the feminized.
so may questions!
looking forward to learning from you all

Re: indoor grow starter
Hello buddy , here your off to a great start , this place will help you through the process and you’ll be producing your own smoke before you know it .
As the name suggests I’m a hydro guy so pretty useless for advising on soils ect but someone with more knowledge will no doubt be along soon to help you out with the options available to you with this regards .. personally for me I’d be looking at running a fem for your first run so you can choose to flip a nice healthy plant into flower ,but lots do autos with great success too .
60x60 is a great size for a single plant in flower and recommend
What beans have you got to pop? , are you looking to go bottles nutes , organics, or powdered salts .
The setup sounds great .. what’s you extraction setup gonna be ?
Lots of questions too .. joining here is a step closer to getting that first successful crop.

Re: indoor grow starter
Hi Hydro, nice to meet you!
i think i'll take your advice and go with the fems first, my options are
HulkBerry (Royal Queen Seeds)
Haze Berry (Royal Queen Seeds)
Runtz Auto (Zamnesia Seeds)
Royal Gorilla (Royal Queen Seeds)
my kit comes with a carbon filter and fan, so hope that;s enough.
https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/YqAAAOSw ... -l1600.jpg
i'll be placing the tent next to my home heating circultion unit, so i could potentially get an adapter and plug the tent directly into the roof exhaust - but doen;t think this is needed?
I had considered placing it within the same closed area but it gets hot in there when the heating is on, so will keep it on the otherside of the door.
I have some easy boost granual nutrients to try. I would prefer to keep it simple to start with - but so many options and all have pros and cons :(

Re: indoor grow starter
Hello @longtimelover and welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have some good basics, and as for strains I'd just suggest you only pick one strain for your start different strains in same tent is a challenge. Good Growing.

Re: indoor grow starter
Welcome.
I think you need to define which growing style suits you?
Hydro with bottled nutritients or dry amendments.
I use a 70/30 coco/perlite and then vermicompost for added soil structure and soil food web.
Dutch Passion do the organic tabs, not some across anyone thats used them yet mind.

Re: indoor grow starter
thanks RIk,
I've been out to pick up some coco subtrate and ended up buying Canna Coco nutrients (liquid A and B)? hope that's the right type?
will get some Perlite and Vermiculture tommorow.
The guy at the store mentioned lots of other supplements, but not sure if i should try them the first time around.
