Hi everyone. I have 2 dosidos x gelato plants at almost week 7 flower but they look a lot different to the last batch even though I’m using clones from that plant? Any idea why ? Last grow Current grow

The question should be to yourself Gward what have i done differently? It looks like you have defoliated more.
They look more mature in the first grow by the pic.

I definitely did defoliate a lot more this time mate true. I was trying a new technique out and that could possibly be the reason. They was definitely more mature at this stage of flowering last grow, Besides the defol I have done everything else exactly the same. Do you think the defol is the reason ? It definitely gave better light penetration and less humidity

This my view on defoliation the less leaves on the plant the less it feeds. As a plant is fed by light and the plants way of capturing the light is through the leaves. You defol a plant and do not do the other exact same clone and watch how quick the plant that has been not defoliated dries out compared to the one that has been. There is a time for strategic defol imo . Its really trial and error with defoliation and everyone has their own way of doing things. Personally i would have been a little more conservative with the feeds also.
