Cool, just wondered see some people leave them on some take them off

I do same as yourself Eli, i remove them/it as soon as seeds break ground. It can beneficial for producing more fems than males from reg beans a really humid environment so it could be beneficial at that point more so as is shorter lighting cycle, summink like 16/8 will help produce more fems over an 18/6 or 24/0 cycle too, theirs other things i think you can do too to try get more fems, but yes that`s a few of them. Went a bit of topic their but tis me all over mate.

Super interesting for sure jimmy only issue is that I can't find any studies done on cannabis, or similar plants tbh.
I did find a study done on dioecious pine trees though, and it proved to be true with them... I'm just wondering how all these weed sites did their testing that's all

All of them seem copy and pasted from one another if you get my drift

Time for my forth Grow Diary in which I will be attempting to grow some very special seeds:-

Dex's Animal Cookies -

A potent strain with some famous genetics, Animal Cookies -- sometimes also known as Animal Crackers -- is a relatively recent indica hybrid. Bred by Canadian seed bank BC Bud Depot, it is a cross between perennial favorite Girl Scout Cookies and indica hybrid Fire OG. Animal Cookies has multicolored flowers and a complex sweet-sour scent. It has heavy, almost narcotic indica effects, providing pain relief, relaxation, and sleep.

This will be a 'Canna Cookie Grow' for the 'Dex's Animal Cookie Grow Out!' competition.

Massive thank you to @Dex for the opportunity to grow this strain which has nothing but great reviews from what I have read (apparently not recommended for non hard core smokers) lol.

The flavour profile sounds wicked:-
Cookie Dough, Cherry Coke, Vanilla, Peppery, Citrus, Herbal, Pine

@Dex has an awesome thread about how he created these feminised seeds which is a really interesting read, so make sure to check that out if you haven't already.



Current plan is to grow two of these in 15 litre Pots using the AutoPot system using a mix of Coco, Perlite & Clay Pebbles:-

• 70% Canna COCO Professional Plus
• 20% Plant!t Perlite
• 10% Canna Aqua Clay Pebbles

I will be using the following Canna Nutrients:-

• Canna Start (seedlings)
• Canna A + B
• Canna Rhizotonic
• Canna Zym
• Canna PK 13/14
• Canna Boost
• Canna CalMag
• Liquid Silicone
  

As I am going with Canna for the Medium and Canna for the Nutrients and because they have a cool Grow Guide I will be using 80% of the 'Canna Recommended Lighter Feeding Nutrient Schedule' (adjusted to 80% as even the lighter feeding schedule seemed a little heavy):-



Yesterday I dropped a couple of the seeds into water:-




And this morning they both sank (after a little poke) so were put into paper towels on top of the fridge. I have so far had a 100% germination rate germinating this way so fingers crossed we should have some baby Animal Cookies in a couple of days ;o)

I'll need about a hundred to do a proper test bro so many different variables to think about, gotta have each batch of say, 10 seeds, in their own environment. One batch humid, one dry, one inconsistent, one with less light, one with 24 hours, one with blue spectum, one with red...... The list goes on

I question everything until I try it and know for sure 100%, you know how I am brotha

I were thinking more along lines of slam 10 in @ 60%+rh, under a blue light whilst running 16/8 and see what appertains Josh. No science like just to satisfy our curiosity. Nowt down for wasting 100 wifi og on a test likes that man or any 100 seeds unless your in seed heaven with a never ending supply. Never mind hey and at end of shift i use fem beanZ mostly. :)

But the only way to prove something works is to be able to repeat it consistently. Which no-one does these days unfortunately

Well if ya slinging, I'm down to try anything for science as long as it will get me wankered ;o)

And on that note! Ahem, @Dex I think I killed your babies mate!

Then @Elijahgrowz posted about the humidity dome, and @2-Scoops kinda backed up what he does so 'for science' I did the same i.e. removed the humidity dome and next day they didn't look so good:-



I don't know if it was due to the humidity dome removal or the dirt on the leaves, or because I did water them that night?



But they ain't looking so good mate. Certainly not giving up yet, and I have 3 spare seeds if they do die, but I reckon worst case scenario I can only save one of them and will have to practice my cloning which I should be doing anyway (as per @Josh advice so I get a mother plant and all that).

We shall see mate, don't hate me for the err mistake?

I can Fix that I hope, people give up too soon on da weeds...
