Pffft they can’t control the regular web never mind the dark web. If you want to stop criminal activity stop prohibition it’s that simple 🙄

Its insane the amount of blatant sellers thete are on insta and fb. Its like I always say, they have out priced the worth of pursuing and arresting these days. Costs the 10k to knock someone and the person getting dine gets a 200£ fine and a suspended sentence.

What saddens me, is that this sort of budget could be used to help and save lives! They cant even stop cigarrete smuggling let alone drugs!!

Its utter madness mate but is what imo keeps us home personal growers safe. Atm kicking my door in is not financially viable as with everyone here. Chances are with no previous we are getting a very small fine. If its made legal and taxed...... we will all be locked at as cash croppers who are stealing from the tax man, punishments will be much worse. I think all drugs should be decriminalised in small Amounts. What use is it repeatedly arresting people for small amounts when it costs far more than any punishment will ever repay. Spend the money on the dealers and higher ups and of course the other serious crimes.

The issue is this country and its governments are all about temporary small fixes to issues. They think election to election, not the next 20 years. Small fines and petty shit is quick cash flow on the short term.

So have they actually *cracked* the dark net or just got lucky busting a couple of 'loud mouths' and trying to make a publicity stunt outta it?
"Law enforcement is most effective when working together, and today's announcement sends a strong message to criminals selling or buying illicit goods on the dark web: the hidden internet is no longer hidden and your anonymous activity is not anonymous."
I don't see how the technology is flawed and if so It does raise questions about how secure and anonymous things like TOR and VPN's actually are. On a plus side it's all open source so if they have hacked it someone will fix it.

It's the same old catch up game really, just playing on a different field.

Remember when torrents was a thing, they fixed that too and a week later there was proxy pages everywhere. It takes the police years to catch up and while they're mopping up one problem computer geeks are busy setting up another idea they were looking at and will get five to ten years before the police get to that and so on.
