Pot size in a 60 x 120
Hey GR420
I'm upgrading my flower tent from a 60 x 60 to a 60 x 120 . Finally found one that size which is perfect for the loft.
I still have a 60 x 60 for veg and tend to go from a tiny pot, to a 1 litre, then 3ltr air pot to a 7.5ltr air pot before moving to the flower tent.
In the 60 x 60 I have previously run 3 plants (indica dom, so not huge) in the 7.5ltr Air Pots. I've also run one huge plant in there in the same size air pot.
I'll be running soil (batmix) but the question is do I upgrade to bigger air pots for flower, or keep to the 7.5ltr and have more in there?
I've got some really old school Northern Lights #5 (pre 1989) regs so will be attempting making some seeds too if that makes any difference?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Re: Pot size in a 60 x 120
I'm in a .8M square tent slightly under the foorspace off the top of my head? Thats my flower and I'm in 20L fabric pots. But I'm running amendmants as far as I know using Canna A+E you can get away with smaller than that I think.
Maybe ask one of the other Canna nutrient growers?

Re: Pot size in a 60 x 120
i usually plan 60x60 per finishing plant tbh. but if you were running 3 in the 60x60 why not run 2 cycles of 3 in the 1.2x0.6? start 3, 4 weeks in start the next 3 and shift the first 3 into the larger tent then 4 weeks later at week 8 from starting start the next 3. boom perpetual cycle and a close to monthly harvest

Re: Pot size in a 60 x 120
ive got a 60 x 120 in my loft too. im running a breeding programme in it. im doing plants in 3 litre pots and they still get big.
if i was to grow normal plants in it, i would stick with your 7.5 litre airpots and do more of them. id probably do 4, that would be plenty to be honest, by the time you get a oscillating fan, heater etc in there.
Reason for this is the slightly limited headroom, mine is 1.6 high, not sure about yours as you didnt say.
i would run more plants in smaller pots, as this will reduce the worry of stretch, as you will be flipping earlier.
NL is a short bushy plant and a good choice for the tent size.
good luck with them.

Nice idea GMO (been away, just read this now!).GMO wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 11:04 pmi usually plan 60x60 per finishing plant tbh. but if you were running 3 in the 60x60 why not run 2 cycles of 3 in the 1.2x0.6? start 3, 4 weeks in start the next 3 and shift the first 3 into the larger tent then 4 weeks later at week 8 from starting start the next 3. boom perpetual cycle and a close to monthly harvest
It's kind of working like that now with the veg tent and the larger flower tent. The advantage of the larger flower has made a real difference to the perpetual grow and I think when it all gets in synch, it will be a harvest a month.

Re: Pot size in a 60 x 120
I'm trying to get mine perpetually running. I need another small tent for a drying space though. That's always my biggest hold back is drying.
I do have room around the outside of my bigger Flower tent, so @GMO you have just gave me the idea so start organising popping some more beans.

would a cheap pop up wardrobe fit outside the tent or a clothes horse drying rack?? :DDIY.Rik wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 8:53 pmI'm trying to get mine perpetually running. I need another small tent for a drying space though. That's always my biggest hold back is drying.

Re: Pot size in a 60 x 120
I'm in an outhouse GMO, I have been on a mission already to fit in my .8 tent, I have a very small space for a diddy likle .4 tent I think it is. I could use my Veg tent for a week, but I'd prefer to keep it pushing forward. Need to constantly get it cycling around. But the financial manager is not giving me much space at the moment, thinking of ways around it. But may just be worth using my veg for a week. It has my 2 autos ½ way through flower already anyway which had given me space for some netting in my .8 Plus the veg tent is well insulated and easily controlled. I always struggle with dry. I should be OK this time around as weather turning colder now.GMO wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 8:57 pmwould a cheap pop up wardrobe fit outside the tent or a clothes horse drying rack?? :DDIY.Rik wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 8:53 pmI'm trying to get mine perpetually running.
