Rvk fan controller.
Hi to all.
I'm looking for a thermostatic fan controller for my rvk fan 5 inch.
Any recommendations for one that's not too loud.
Thanks

Re: Rvk fan controller.
July this was a while ago. Did you find anything?
I use one, 50 pounds I think, it has a minimum fan speed and temp probe. I can find a link if you want?
I also use an ac infinity. They're OK, depending on how you want to program them.

Re: Rvk fan controller.
I've not really needed it yet.
The Green cracks have took over my tent so fan is on full blast.
After this grow I'm downsizing to 2 X 80cm and a 60cm tent.
Probably going to need controller then.
Just want one that doesn't make too much noise.

Re: Rvk fan controller.
I just bought me a digital GSE climate control unit does both temps and humidity, ive not added it yet to grow room, that will be next grow when i change out the older one. Ive used quite a few different ones in past and find none really make a noise if running smaller fans it`s when your trying to dial big fans back you get noise, well that`s my experience either that or im going deaf and getting old and all that type of stuff, i run a 5inch rvk myself, the newer digi ones are top draw me thinks . Here`s what i bought but ill be running one extractor off it, i got it cheap at £50 ex display type thing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GSE-Controll ... SwXeJYNHnd im not sure if it will work as intended running a passive inlet but i can`t see why not and it will certainly keep temps under control running with one.
If your wanting a budget type to run one fan off i dont think you can beat the newer digital mk2 SMScom fan speed controller, these are really quiet and work real good as intended for smaller set ups, no big jumps from one speed to another just smooth slow and steady till it gets their which cuts down on any possible hazzard from stop starting big jumps all time with your fans https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SMSCOM-SMS-M ... Swq~tZS5ge dont drop these or software chip is easily broken as i found or i`d still be using it.
If your wanting best of best look at any variac type. :)

Re: Rvk fan controller.
I've used the SMS COM and its been fine for a good few months. Cross this controller with the ac infinity and you'd have a perfect kit!!2-Scoops wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 2:28 pmI just bought me a digital GSE climate control unit does both temps and humidity, ive not added it yet to grow room, that will be next grow when i change out the older one. Re: Rvk fan controller.
Thanks for the input everyone.
Think I'll go for a couple of SMS ones for the 80cm tents with 5 inch fans. I've got a little variable 4 inch fan for the 60cm tent.

Re: Rvk fan controller.

The SMS will be fine only running one exhaust fan.

Re: Rvk fan controller.
I know some of them go into the 100's
It does help control your grow.
I'm designing a room thats all insulated, which in effect will be a temperature and humidity controlled environment. All at a cost though

Re: Rvk fan controller.
variacs are the best fan controllers.
ive made 2 , one all singing/dancing one, temp controlled etc, and one just "dial a temp" type, but am struggling to find variable transformers to build them with at reasonable prices.... which is a major bummer, cos im needing another 2 of them.
