To scrog or not to scrog
Morning All!
I am beginning my grow in 2x 16l fabric pots in a 1.2x1.2x2.2m tent..
This is my first soil grow and also in this size tent. Previous have been in NFT.
I've seen a lot of scrog set ups, but never actually done one.
Should I do one considering size of the tent or should I just let them grow out considering I have a 2.2m high tent?
Thank you

Re: To scrog or not to scrog
Good morning mate. I'd say it's a matter of personal choice and depends what your goals are. There are few option ahead of you.
Considering scrog is always tempting but you have to take few things into account. Do you have access from all sides and can you reach the very far corner of the tent? Are you due any house inspection that might make you move the plants?

Re: To scrog or not to scrog
I personally like q sprog more as a support net for plants but as bulls says, depends on location of the tent and your reach :)
The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

Re: To scrog or not to scrog
In most cases when scrogging doesn't turn up to be perfect you might find to need another netting on top of the scrog net for support or use yo-yos. I personally prefer topping and LST(low stress training) and then support with canes.

Re: To scrog or not to scrog
Thanks all
I have or should I say I am getting the budbox pro so should have access to 3 sides at least, no house inspections :)
I'll have to do a bit more reading, I know some reap amazing yields from it, but its another thing you have to keep on top of I presume.
Where do you guys buy your nets from? Any recommendations?
Cheers

Re: To scrog or not to scrog
That's good news, no inspections and access from all 3 sides! I'd go for it personally, would be great experience. You can get pre-made scrog nets from ebay or make yourself one. Up to you and depends how good are you with DIY.

Cheers Bulls. Are the ones with frames better than without? I've seen some floating around for a tenner on eBay tooBulls wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2020 8:37 amThat's good news, no inspections and access from all 3 sides! Re: To scrog or not to scrog
They are more like a support net. The floating ones will not do well for scrog..as the plants will keep pushing them up too.

Re: To scrog or not to scrog
Good luck mate! I'm always so envious looking at a well done scrog. I tried it a couple of time and failed with it. I tend to want to grow multiple strains at the same time. That can be hard in a scrog, they appear to be much better for mono-croping. I don't think I'm patient enough for them either haha.
I use to use bamboo stakes. These work..but they are bloody dangerous. Many a stoned night, I nearly took my eye out peering into my tent. Now I use atlas plant trainers, they are expensive...but the bees knees.
