Re: Chea and effective ways to lower RH
In your situation I'd probably stick to gorilla growing in the summer. I didnt start growing my own really until I'd bought my own house and could do as I please. Sure I've done it in rentals decades ago but always found it a bit of a headache with inspections every 6 months etc. If you keep going as you are you will be pushing your luck, maybe your a lucky person. But if your Mum will kick your head in I'm going to assume she isn't old and doddery, so she will find it. I though i was clever when i was 14 and tried growing behind the drawers of my wardrobe with a light bulb, guess what happened. Never got caught doing a gorilla grow though, sure they've been nicked etc but i never got caught. Play safe mate.

Re: Chea and effective ways to lower RH
Have been wanting to do a guerilla grow for a few years now. Was pretty close to going for it this year but left it a bit late. Ive lived in this house for 7 years and never had an inspection. It's a private rent from family friends. When I say my mum would kick my head in its a bit of an exaggeration haha. She wouldn't be happy bout it, just tell me to get rid of it that's about it.Nomoli wrote:In your situation I'd probably stick to gorilla growing in the summer. Its safe enough to do it especially just the 1 plant growing. I just don't want to jeopardise my wee set up. Did an okay job last year without extraction so thought I'd be good to go this year but it's just really humid outside at the moment. Been lots of rain and I anticipated a bit more of a summer where I live. Unfortunately we never really got 1!

What kind of ducting are you using, and is your extractor fan inside a box?HaydenR4238 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 3:23 pmSmells not so much of an issue where I live. I'm very rural. It's the noise factor for me. Last year I seen my crop out to the end without any mold etc but I don't think my humidity was quite as high. More like 70s rather than 80s. I'm currently living with my mum and she would kick my head in if she found my set up. It's already quite loud with the fans and my light. I think I'm going to move my tent to a friends house for the final few weeks. See out this grow and then start all over again with new equipment.bigbadbillybob wrote:i would strongly suggest runnng extraction, if you want there to be a next time, and if you want to these to see the end, and if you dont want to get nicked.
My current set up was built for stealth not quality. Just the way it is for me just now unfortunately.
But moving this set up to my friends seems to be my best option right now. If my humidity is still high extraction it is

Don't have either. It's mostly the fan in my light making all the noiseThe Aspie Toker wrote:What kind of ducting are you using, and is your extractor fan inside a box?HaydenR4238 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 3:23 pmSmells not so much of an issue where I live. Re: Chea and effective ways to lower RH
There's part of your humidity problem right there. You need to extract the heat and humidity out of the tent.HaydenR4238 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 4:44 pmDon't have either. Re: Chea and effective ways to lower RH
Plants release so much moisture the only way is to run an extraction u less ur running a sealed room. Only time I don't extract air is when there seedlings.
You will get mould if you don't get that air exchanged and your likely to get mould at the 3week mark and will show later on so it could already be to late. All the best dude.
