Definitely looking into this thanks! Is it loud?MrNice wrote:Hey HaydenR4238
Well bro Mr Nice has the same size tent as you what ive done to control RH in my tent is install a barthroom extractor fan with built in humidistat.
Inside the fan theres a little dial you can turn with a screw driver to ajust the humidistat from 50RH to 75RH
Normally at the start of a grow i set it to 65RH then when flower starts i lower it down to 50RH
Its automatic plug it in away you go
Fan is an xpelair Ghost Air Movement Technology enables near-silent running
two speeds selectable at install at 15 and 21l/s,
Cost me lik £35 or £40
Thats what ive been using for over a year and half now had no problems
Hope that helps

i use an adjustable dehumidifier, with auto shut off, but its not in the room its outside, and i just throw the RO water from it into my 200 litre water butt.
works a treat. RH is around 50% now 6 weeks into bloom.
The water from the dehumidifier is it deionized.....? was wondering if so do the plants mind deionized water

Re: Chea and effective ways to lower RH
yes its the same as reverse osmosis water, ec of 0.0, the plants dont mind it at all, but id not just use that water to water them with, without adding some cal mag, as it strips the elements out of the water, but because i add it to the water butt it doesnt matter as most of the water butt is full of tap water (0.2ec in my case)

Thats what i was thinking "strips the elements out of the water" got me thinking what happens then if you poor that on the plants does it strip the soil, coco etc....... of positive ions .?

No not currently running any of that. I know It would solve my problem but at the moment that's not possible unfortunately. Will be running extraction next time for sureMarcus wrote:I might be asking a stupid question here, but have you got a carbon filter and extraction fan running in there?

Re: Chea and effective ways to lower RH
i would strongly suggest runnng extraction, if you want there to be a next time, and if you want to these to see the end, and if you dont want to get nicked.

Re: Chea and effective ways to lower RH
Smells not so much of an issue where I live. I'm very rural. It's the noise factor for me. Last year I seen my crop out to the end without any mold etc but I don't think my humidity was quite as high. More like 70s rather than 80s. I'm currently living with my mum and she would kick my head in if she found my set up. It's already quite loud with the fans and my light. I think I'm going to move my tent to a friends house for the final few weeks. See out this grow and then start all over again with new equipment.bigbadbillybob wrote:i would strongly suggest runnng extraction, if you want there to be a next time, and if you want to these to see the end, and if you dont want to get nicked.
My current set up was built for stealth not quality. Just the way it is for me just now unfortunately.
But moving this set up to my friends seems to be my best option right now. If my humidity is still high extraction it is
