I hate how they setup boxing matches these days. It has always been a shady business, but today the greats mostly beat up on soup cans for years and then when they’re a little bit past their prime they start fighting the other 1-3 people in their weight class they should’ve for years.

I agree. Its not even the fighters most of the time either. Tv deals, promotional companies. Eddie hearn is signing many which negates the conflicts in TV rights. Its wrong, someone like whyte who will and has fought everyone has been denied the big pay days because of the shady bs.

Exactly! The promoters have it setup so they make crazy money and they don’t care about anything else. I miss the exciting times where there were great matches weekly. I’m guessing more athletes have gone towards MMA over boxing too. Just sounding like an old guy reminiscing about the good old days now. Ha.
