Cool tube
Anyone sucking air through a cool tube opposed the blowing through?
Just wondering if heat will be an issue for the fan. I just don’t have room to put the fan in front

Re: Cool tube
Never had a issue pulling through the fan Chew. I do prefer blowing through the tube though.

Re: Cool tube
blowing through is always a better option. if you blow through, you create positive pressure in the ducting and light, so any smells get pushed out, inside the tent- as opposed to pulled in to the duct and out the tent, but if you have air tight ducting and a filter on the end you should be good. .

Re: Cool tube
Didn’t even consider that mate! Unfortunately I just don’t have the room for the fan in front. In fact, I barley have room at all. Only a 1.2 x 0.6 with a 500mm mountain air. Gonna be some interesting pipe work lolbigbadbillybob wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 10:18 pmblowing through is always a better option. if you blow through, you create positive pressure in the ducting and light, so any smells get pushed out, inside the tent- as opposed to pulled in to the duct and out the tent, but if you have air tight ducting and a filter on the end you should be good. .

Re: Cool tube
if you have a seperate fan, could you not put the fan outside the grow area, and just blow through ducting to tube then simply duct outside the room/tent, there shouldnt be any smell?
would save putting a fan in the room, if you are tight for space.
Another option is to put the filter/fan vertically instead of hung above the light..its not ideal, but ive done it before with no issues. it frees up some headroom.....

Re: Cool tube
I was thinking about hanging the filter vertically. I do have a spare fan too! Good ideas, mate. Thank you !bigbadbillybob wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2020 1:37 pmif you have a seperate fan, could you not put the fan outside the grow area, and just blow through ducting to tube then simply duct outside the room/tent, there shouldnt be any smell?

Re: Cool tube
i used to sit my filter on an old speaker stand, and just bungee it to the corner pole of the tent, if it helps.
