To train or not to train?
Hello everyone im growing my first ever cannabis plant and im very excited. Its a white widow xxl auto from dinafem.
It's only at its 3rd node and still very small but in the next few weeks im going to have to make some decisions if im going to train it or just leave ot to watch and learn the growing process.
What do you usually do with your autos? Iv watched lots of tutorials and im really interesting in mainlining but i understand thats usually practised on photoperiod plants.
Any advice or recommendations would be highly appreciated thanks guys

Re: To train or not to train?
Having just got to the end of my first grow, I would say keep it simple, and if you are going to try some training, stick to LST.
Use this first grow to learn to control your environment, feeding and watering.
There is also a lot of information out there that suggests autos are less tolerant to forms of higher stress training due to their limited vegetative period.
But if you do decide to have a crack at it, good luck!

Re: To train or not to train?
You should really only top autos if...
1: You're an experience grower.
2: You're growing a stain that takes a while to grow.
Like flip said, LST is the way to go.

Re: To train or not to train?
I grew my first one last year and just left it for the best part to do its thing. On my second grow now and have been using LST and in my opinion that's the way to go. I've got a grow journal if you want to see how it's going

Re: To train or not to train?
I've never done autos so can't really comment except the reason I haven't/won't do autos is cos I like to be in control, I want to flower it when I'm ready and satisfied that it's ready, want that peace of mind that if anything goes wrong I've got a chance to fix it

Re: To train or not to train?
Agree with the others. LST and some tucking of fan leaves or some defoliation for your first grow will do you great. Best of luck with the White Widow XXL! Dinafem are great seeds (yes yes we know Nanook). Ha.
