Problem with roots

Post by Bulls »

Good evening growroom420
I am having some issues with my plants roots. There seems to be some tiny pests in them and they seem to have turned darkish compared to 2 days ago when they were fine. They also felt wet compared to before after 24 hrs since watering.
Haven't changed anything nute wise.
Today I've added 1 ml per 3 L of water superthrive and sprinkled some gws on top of the coco.

Anyone has an ide what these pests are and how to treat them

That's way too small to see what's going on. However, this may help...

They look similar to what I had. If they are crawling on the surface of the soil I bet they are fungus gnats.
Like Captain said let the soil dry out a bit. And next watering add some hydrogen peroxide to your water. The hydrogen peroxide won't hurt anything (actually from what I've heard the roots love it) but any larva in the soil will be killed by it. Do you see any little gnats flying around? I found a bunch dead on top of my HPS reflector.

Here's a good link:

Purple Punch From Seedstockers
The other day when I was high I solved one of the world's greatest problems.
Unfortunately five minutes later I forgot what I was doing.

Good morning everyone.
Thanks for the heads ups. Most of it has been considered. I noticed that the coco is not as dry as it should be 24 hrs after watering. That's why i took the rootball out of the pot to check and then I saw these. I will get some hydrogen peroxide to try and kbag I will see tonight if they jump.

Right. I think these small creatuers are just baby fungus gnats. I will kill them all! Also checked roots and seems to have some new ones developed and plants look greener which is good. No watering last night. I'd probably leave them 48 between waterings. Do you think it could be a bad batch of canna coco? That was really looks weird or it might be just me
