Any other thoughts on if specks are thrips or not?
A close up shot of one of the leaves would be helpful.

The other day when I was high I solved one of the world's greatest problems.
Unfortunately five minutes later I forgot what I was doing.

I'll get him to do some more close up pics, I'll l try speak to original grower as well see what set up he's been using ie soil nutes etc. Looked up on that thrips and did look like the symptoms they explain.

That squiggly line makes me think it has some type of insect infestation.

Good spot, so might be 2 insects to look for the squiggly lines are likely leaf miners.
Neem oil should be good for both.

Thrips normally leave marks that are straight line.
Leaf miners normally leave marks that look like a drunk slug has walked over the leaves.
Spider mites normally leave small dots all over the leaves.

Hi again all just been round to my mates since last time I took those pics, solved the thrips issue but now his leaves are turning yellow.
He's not used many nutes so could it be that it's taking nutes out the leaves? I'll upload some pics
