I'll get him to do some more close up pics, I'll l try speak to original grower as well see what set up he's been using ie soil nutes etc. Looked up on that thrips and did look like the symptoms they explain.

Good spot, so might be 2 insects to look for the squiggly lines are likely leaf miners.
Neem oil should be good for both.

Thrips normally leave marks that are straight line.
Leaf miners normally leave marks that look like a drunk slug has walked over the leaves.
Spider mites normally leave small dots all over the leaves.

Hi again all just been round to my mates since last time I took those pics, solved the thrips issue but now his leaves are turning yellow.
He's not used many nutes so could it be that it's taking nutes out the leaves? I'll upload some pics
