Hey GR420!
I'm looking for a lead bud trimming machine for my percy grow. I've already wrote off the cheapo bowl trimmers as they seem to be plagued with issues and look subpar quality.
I've been looking at the following
RISENTEK 16" bud trmmer
URL: https://www.stonertoolbox.com/risentek- ... f-trimmer/
PRICE: £250 shipped
This looks like what I'm probably going to go for. They've gone bust but it looks like someone bought all their stock. They also seem to be the only guys that do a dry trim plate too.
Trimpro Unplugged
URL: https://trimpro.com/product-selector/bu ... -trimmers/
PRICE: £500 shipped
This is a little more pricey but seemed to be a little better engineered but that could also be marketing. The other thing that appeals to me with this one is I can get spares because they still manufacturing them. The biggest downside for me is it only does wet trim.
I'm looking for suggestions on any others that may exist. My budget is around £500 max. I'm not interested in the tables as I find they don't complete the process and require a second pass with scissors.
Thank you for reading my waffle and I look forward to your suggestions

Re: Looking for a decent Bud Trimming machine
You're looking at some expensive trimmers mate. I've been using 90£ 16'' lazyboy trimmer(or repplica) from the local hydro shop for the last ..3 years? It's saved me hours of trimming and never had any problems. Got plenty of smoke so I won't whinge that little reisin's left on the racking or the knives.

Re: Looking for a decent Bud Trimming machine
Cheers Bulls, I did look at those as the local shop had one on the counter. I'm just not feeling the BBQ grill and subpar blades :) The ones I linked have a very specific pattern to the bottom plate to minimise loss of trichomes and build up. Plus they have a fancy gear system to minimise effort. So you saying you get on with those bowl style trimmers?

Re: Looking for a decent Bud Trimming machine
the trim pro hand cranker is better than the cheaper ones. ive had both, ive currently got the same one as bulls, a 19 inch job, and it works ok, but ive lost a few of the rubber fingers off it over the last couple of years.
if i was buying again id go for a trim pro, to be honest, but my cheaper one does the same job, its just a bit more fragile.
mines seen a bit of hammer like
