Building a grow equipment setup
Hi
I have most of the bits an bobs needed now to start putting it all together
I have the green qube 80 x 80 x 180 assembled
(ignore the instrunction a bit and build cage within the canvas Base)
In hindsight this would of been easier than stretching canvas over the built frame..
I have just temporary installed fan filter ducting and lighting
(ratchet's a must IMO took all the heavy lifting out of it.)
I have included some pics of the equipment hanging in temporary position along with the available holes with socks for cables / venting and the layout of poles to hang from.
Any suggestions tips before I decide the final placement would be appreciated.
A couple of initial thoughts I had given the layout was to mount the carbon filter internal with fan external.
But Ideally id have fan and filter bolted with fast clamp internal as I'd now in pics this would mean having a 90° bend in ducting directly after the fan exit.
My cfm? Of the fan inc filter well exceeded the size tent I have when i calculated a month or so ago... so even with the 90° bend it should pull enough to achieve negative pressure?
But any other suggestions or idea's on the layout would be welcome

Re: Building a grow equipment setup
So my issue is due to size location of exhaust vents on the tent and bars available suitable to hang eq from leaves me with a couple of options with air extraction.
Fitted on left would mean running the duct round the inside rear of the tent to either the ceiling vent with a 90° bend.
Or exhausting straight onto the wall using no duct. With fan straight to vent sock.
Fitted to the right hand side has the same issues a 90° bend or venting straight out no duct the tent being up against the wall means this would be vento g to the space down the side between tent and wall.
Only other thought I had was to fit the carbon filter inside. Run the ducting outside then fit fan outside the tent. Could maybe even position filter vertically inside and the fan outside using the fast clamp withing the vent sock.
But all the weight would then be on the canvas roof.
So none are ideal with 90° bends causing back pressure or outside fan inside filtet reducing performance with the ducting between.
Any thought ideas appreciated.
All eq can be moved it is just positioned temporary to give an idea Of the two set up's I've looked at and size/space and available exits.

Re: Building a grow equipment setup
"I've got that extraction fan and filter. Its good. I use it on a variable speed switch which I would recommend."
Thanks Hmr81. I did a lot of research on each step when buying the kit and this carbon air with sytemair rvk looked great value with the deeper carbon bed etc.
More than suitable for the tent space I have.
Apparently the two items are designed and built to work together I heard yesterday on a YouTube video.
As for the controller I was just looking into this yesterday. Do u have the control freak with temp probe or the varispeed and just dial it in yourself.
Thanks again
P.'s just seen your pic nice one.
Yes that's how I felt as that fan even with filter resistance taken into account and m2 of the tent pulling negative pressure shouldn't be a problem. If anything as you say slowing the fan will be needed to reduce some of the neg pressure.
Thanks for putting me at ease on that one.
Little things can make big difference's so wanted to get it dialed in before I start sowing seed.
Even tho it's first go and I expect many lessons will be learned and mistakes made.
if i can reduce the chance of any problems I want to.
Your guys advice is priceless in that process.
Thanks
