Its loud bulls. Record your hand one, post here and see if there's a difference would you? I cant see it being louder than a hand one tbh as the noise seems to be the blade on the grill.

Re: Spinpro Powermatic Trimmer
RIGHT! The real test - harvest.
I harvested last night - this usually takes me 3 whole nights - it took 8 hours! ( probably would have taken a lot less if I wasnt alone, and very drunk by the end! )
So, how did it do? Well, that's not an easy question to answer to be honest. It definitely trims better than I do by hand however some of the tiny sugar leaves I usually leave on were also trimmed off meaning weight loss..... to counter that tho I put in so many more popcorn buds I would usually not bother with so I think it balances itself.
It was extremely noisy for the first few hours, and got quieter as it went on! I presume this was due to the oil from the plant. After about 6 hours it started making a mad noise almost like a hammer drill. I stopped it and found it was just a stuck stalk - PHEW!
Safety wise I DEFINITELY recommend safety glasses! I work lathes, drills, grinders etc on a daily basis but this thing is mental! I got showered with stalk and leaves :( - it is incredibly messy!!! Also I think an emergency stop button should have been on it standard - I didn't try putting my hand in it while it was running, but I am not sure it would have stopped.
PROs:
Fast
Easy to use
Buds look amazing
No more sore back
No more sore fingers with scissors
AMAZING trim for making oil/edibles etc
CONS:
Noisy
Makes a HELL of a mess for about 6 foot in any direction
Looks a nightmare to clean ( I will test this later )
Possible safety issues
Cost of replacement blades - I am not sure how long they last but it was definitely slowing down by the end of the trim however I would guess it did 30 or so zips.
So...... would I recommend it, or will I use it again?
Yes and no. It depends on your needs and laziness to be honest. I would definitely recommend it for lazy people like me with a larger harvest ( over say 10 zips ) and especially for high leaf to bud ratio strains, but I would not pay £500 or whatever it retails for - I picked mine up new from ebay for £130+P&P which is a more sensible price.
Will I use it again?
EVERY time I trim without a doubt.
Here's some pics of what it trimmed, and the machine after use - ran out of space on this post so be the next one :)

Re: Spinpro Powermatic Trimmer
Wow BG mate thanks for the awesome write up mate i thouroughly enjoyed it mate. Ok so if im the first to give my opinion based soley on your review, I certainly wouldn't pay the brand new RRP 0f £500 thats for sure and i would most probably only invest if i had a monster crop maybe as you say 30 to 40 zips is ultra time consuming and not exactly the safest with oddur leak during the time it would take to hand trim that amount but i would be alot more happier paying the £130 for the odd occasion it maybe used
thnaks again pal well done for bringing them home mate i have enjoyed this one
cheers
smokes

Great write up bg. I'm pretty sure i'm going to buy one of the trimmer bowls. You helped my decision with your review and its noise that i have to be careful of. Thanks again

Re: Spinpro Powermatic Trimmer
Excellent review BG. I am so glad i see this review as i have the same one in my shopping or did should i say. After seeing this review i have decided not to buy one and looking at the hand spin ones for the smaller buds.
