This normally trips my breakers when my oven goes! and nothing cooks! The Aspie Toker wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 10:57 pmThe element sounds about right. I was almost finished cooking at the time when it went, so I didn't notice that it had stopped working.
It's just the element mate, and they are made to be replaceable/consumable and you can replace that mate. Just post a picture or the model number and we can advise you on what to buy as a direct replacement element and explain how to replace it. (it will be about 4 screws max, and 2x push on terminals) - easy as wiring up and LED.The Aspie Toker wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 10:54 pmThanks, mate. I'm going to get someone to fix it. I am not going to try and dismantle parts of an oven. I always end up with spare bits when I dismantle things.
Think of a blend of Mr Magoo and Frank Spencer. That's me.
JUST MAKE SURE TO ISOLATE ALL MAINS SUPPLY TO THE OVEN.
If not sure just switch off the main consumer unit to the whole house for 10 mins.
Post a pic of your oven at least before you proceed?
