Spring is here

Things are growing

Its that time of year things start to grow. Heres what I have going in the garden so far this year

Strawberry


Yellow French beans


Blackberry Bush starting to show signs of fruit and the blackcurrent too


Garlic


Onions


And finally the herbs are coming back


That's all that's going on outside for the mo.

Nice herbs! I am luck enough to have an allotment so have black/red/white currants, gooseberries, raspberries, strawberries, artichokes, spuds, beans, onions, garlic, rhubarb, blackberries all coming along nicely!

More Tatties gone in, last of the salad variety.

Gone a little mad on Strawberrys this year

Recused Cucumber, hope it keeps living.

The Bacci now has a little drip feed system. seems to make it happier in the sun.

The onions, shallots and garlic beds
Makes me happy to sit out here

I have some Egyptian walking onions growing. I'll have some bulbs (sets) ready in a few months or less if anyone in the UK would like some.

I bought 3 sets for £3 a number of years back. One I lost somewhere, the other two I planted and left them to do their thing. They say they normally don't grow the heads the first year, but they did. I took those bulbs and planted them. They overwintered in the soil. Over the years they multiplied and I gave a shitload away to members.

I forgot to top them to prevent them making more bulbs, so I have a lot more bulbs to give away or sow.

I did a test the other year where I cut off the head of bulbs and planted them. They took well. The other option is to split them into individual bulbs and plant. Both methods work.
