So its warming up here which means all the pests are coming out of dormancy... time to patrol regularly now. First pests in my garden are always the striped cucumber beetle and slugs... been gardenin at this spot for 7 yrs now and both pests mysteriously showed up 3 years ago. Oh well i can squish em

Here is the tomatillo plant that they both love to eat. Funny thing though these cucumber beetles eating a non-cucurbit plant. Actually these beeyles dont eat any of my squash or cucumber plants if i have tomatillo in the garden. They also wont eat any other solanaceous crop so this is wierd to me. Funny little bastards though: they can see you coming and will let go of the plant to fall down to the soil layer where it is much harder to grab them lol

Here is the plant they love so much. It WAS a nice plant

Otherwise the green onions are flowering

And my greens are banging whilst my intercropped carrots amd beets begin shooting out their first leaves
