Well whos a feckin idiot... this guy...
Blew up the power supply couplers for half my LED boards today. Thought i would swap a 600watt ballast out for my 400 watt driver and I turned it on, the lights turned on, and then shit blew up
2 steps back here. Im thinking the LED COBs are stil salvageable. Anyone chime in on this?!?!
So now we look like this...

Re: Mafoo’s Growth Chamber 2.0
Got a bit of RE-wiring done so now my middle LED board is live again. I have 4x 600x600 panels and 1x 600x1200 panel hooked into my 400 watt inventronics driver and they all are only pulling 250 watts. The T5 fluorescent lamp that is hung on the bottom shelf has one nonfunctioning bulb so it only draws 300 watts when on.

Re: Mafoo’s Growth Chamber 2.0
We have finally evolved from a grow “rack” into a proper growth “chamber”
I use Reflectix for the skin as it is fire proof, reflective, and insulating. Not to mention affordable. It cost me ~$60 for all the material and I have some left too.
I also now have a 4” 9 watt 47 cfm fan blowing around in there
I used 3M “hook and loop” (not velcro brand) to seal the different pieces together

Re: Mafoo’s Growth Chamber 2.0
Well this diy chamber continues to be a fun learning experience.
Pretty much dedicated the top 2/3 of it to flowering. Still havent gotten the lower NASA led shelf going with anything yet.
I wanted to finally get the smell under control so decided to rig up a diy air filter. I bought a bunch of cheap used grow gear years ago and got this persons bucket filter. So I refilled it with new activated carbon from OdoBrand (https://www.homedepot.com/p/OdoBan-10-g ... /318996622) and am test running it now. At 2x4x5 ft I think 40 cfm should be adequate.
For fun I have installed magnetic strip tape to secure the door flap and more or less seal the air and light on those seems. I also taped and sealed all around the chamber so the air intake is just through the bottom of the door flap.
Thats it. Lets see how she goes.
