They cant do this can they ?
Quite possibly. They did a road block last week near here. They did one side of a duel carriageway. I took note and drove back using a different road.

Had they stopped me last night, all they would have found is a couple of kilos of coke. Diet coke. I had just dropped off a load of shopping to someone.

It won't be long before they'll do the shopping trolleys, but I can see it being stopped because of privacy laws or similar.

Bad times man.. its the easter eggs on the shelf and people want some for their kids and family its why shops are so rammed at moment ...

If supermarkets just sold the essentials like what the government telling us to do... why let the supermarket bait us in with offers for non essential stuff .. lets just drift away man https://youtu.be/mZjhYUzw-EI

It won't happen, mate. It will be challenged by Human Rights Board and the Government before it gets that far.

So instead of stopping real crimes they are doing this, the closest I could see is maybe fining someone for going out only to buy something non essential, but even then many things you could argue essential that don't seem so at first glance. One thing that's helped greatly here is stores only allowing a certain amount of shoppers at a time.Say 2 finish and leave and 2 are let in like a nightclub or something.

I find that more of a hindrance. I'm disabled, yet still had to join the end of the queue. By the time I had parked into the disabled bay (next to the shop) and getting a trolley. By the time I had walked across the car park, 10 more people had joined. I was in a lot of pain by the time I was allowed in. I suffered all night and into the next day because of that.

What I've seen here someone with disabilities are given a place number when they arrive like the deli or a bakery so they can sit in their car in less discomfort and let know when they will be coming up soon. Not sure how that works as not my personal experience.

In the UK, some shops have set aside an hour (normally the first hour) for the elderly or disabled, but it's not every day and even then, there's been a queue. I did it once. From what I saw, only about 40% in the queue were elderly or disabled.
