These selfish ppl who can afford it have taken everything. I cant afford to bulk buy and cant even get a loaf of bread and a pint of milk with my last fiver i wish i could shop in my local but its way more expensive... i despair of ppl, i really do.

Re: Coronavirus
I wish people would stop panic buying. I too am high risk, and I cannot get my regular shopping. Therefore I am having to visit more shops than I want to, or go out more than I want to.Marcus wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2020 3:26 pmThat's bad Glynne, seems folk around here aren't quite panicking yet so there's plenty of normal stuff on the shelves.Glynne420 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 18, 2020 11:10 amIs it just me or do other ppl think that the country has gone mad.... i just went to my local supermarket and its been stripped bare...

They seem to have decimated all the crap food that gives folks diabetes though, so are they worried for their heath or not?
I can pop a bottle of milk in the post if you get desperate, the bread might get squashed though.
But yeah, I can send you a couple of bottles of milk if it gets any more surreal in them shops!
So, aside from all the scare mongering going around social media, this twitter thread shows some of the good stuff happening... (he's updating with links confirming the bits)
www.twitter.com/MarcelloRuffini/status/ ... 4818227206
Also read a science paper this morning states the case fatality rate from this bug is more like 0.5% when spread over a population of (eg) China...
https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101 ... 20031773v2
(flu is 0.1% BTW and SARS in 2009 was about 7%.)
So keep away from the press, they just want to scare you with headlines to get the clicky ad revenue.
I'm following so many scientists on Twitter now, can;t wait for this to all blow over and I can get back to being able to cough in public (asthma) and be grubby again (just an urchin at heart really!).
Right. best go wash my hands and stop touching the postwoman's face.

Nice1 for that picture mate. The Aspie Toker wrote:
A good bit of info there.
Ive just found out that my mate and his son who i was visiting yesterday has started to show signs of being ill with Covid19. They havent been tested or anything but they have flu symptoms so are self isolating and although i dont feel bad or have any symptoms, i suppose i have to isolate myself for 7 days to see if they passed it to me..... i so hope i dont have it cos im on the borderline of the "at risk group".
So.... i still have to take Molly out 2-3 times a day but i wont be in contact with anyone now, i dont want to pass it on IF i have it....

Re: Coronavirus
Ive been lets call it prepping for 4 or 5 weeks maybe longer now and buying extra with each shop, i have enough in home now so i can lock down for 3 or 4 months if i manage it rightly, selfish or not i call it being a bit savvi cus i knew this was gonna happen, it was obvious a month or so back when everyone was being all blazza about it all and tbh some still are i know quite a few mates who just don`t give a fook about it, its only when they see peeps close home dropping dead it might sink in a little.
All that said dont go jumping down my throats here guys im in the vulnerable bracket with a compromised immunity that`s pretty much fucked as well as quite a few more underlyning conditions that add to that fucked up bracket. I dont rely on no one only myself, i can now lock down for a few months or so more or less and iff not i have masks gloves and safety specs for going places where theirs gonna be peeps where its unavoidable.
At end of shift shit happens and what will be will be but by doing what ive done i hope ive reduced my risk of catching this virus during the spike which is starting now and if/when i do get it i have a better chance of getting on a ventilator, i just hope i come out other end as i do every other decent person on the planet. But sadly many won`t.
I don`t envy Doctors that are gonna have to make stark choices of who and who doesn`t get a ventilator cus that`s how its gonna go down imo, if i miss the spike in the next few months and get to other side and do catch it then its quite possible i will get on a ventilator. Frightening times were at and even more ahead guys.
Ive been out twice in the past 3 or 4 days to fill up juice box and then went again to add more so i know its full for a good few weeks, if im ok in 14 days hopefully theirs a chance of getting past this first wave that`s coming faster than inter city 125 down the track now.
On a different note our young en works in hospital and she`s having to use same dissposable mask over and over, wtf tis bloody shocking i tell you.
Much luv and best wishes to everyone here guys i don`t envy none of you.
