It won't work. He'd be better off talking to his plants. The expelled CO2 from your breath will do more good than that.

I saw a similar question on another site, and they said it's not a good idea either.

i'm thinking totally different, it's only co2, it spits out dry ice if pressed to hard and gets cold that's all, i'm trying to find some info on what's actually in it .. like co2 and some powder agent or something maybe.



anyways they're still alive after a blast last night :laugh:

it's run out already, i did a 10 min blast 1 night, and a 5 min blast the next night and it's run out ha ha !! ... it works tho and they're not dead, got a few brown dry ice burns but that's it.

so it does work and it's not gone tits up sorry to say :(

Prove it's worked.
Just because you didn't kill your plants, isn't proof.

And if you're using it in a tent, then the fan will take most of it out before it can do anything.

Also, once you've used the extinguisher, the rest will slowly leak out.

There is a grower - far more experienced than you or I who tried it. He didn't kill his plants, but he couldn't tell if it helped or hindered as he couldn't tell the difference.

To be effective, it will have to be continuous.. Not just a moment blast sucked by the fan. I think that is way Ecotechnics have a controller specially designed for that and it is wired to the fan controller, to be able to control the fans while releasing CO2..It is only needed for commercial growers who are using very intense lights anyway so don't see the point of it.

There's also a huge difference between releasing CO2, and releasing CO2 from a fire extinguisher.
