Yeah this is awesome. One odd these days I'll get some motivation as well and look into what it really takes to throw together a couple led builds. The kilowatt meter is always nice to have too.

It only took me 5 years, getting fired from my dream job, and picking myself back up in order to find the motivation...

Also the meter was only $20 new from my hardware store

So the ground has been frozen most of today so I didn't have a good reason to put off making more progress on the new chamber.

Today I finished up a lot of my electrical work and raised the bottom two shelves a bit so that all three shelves are high enough to drain into a reservoir for the automatic watering system I will be installing soon.

All wire junctions have been secured, all wires have been clipped to the system, and all power lines have been re-arranged and organized:



Got my 20-amp breaker outlet boxes hung and the timers ready to go for all the lights:



Here are the two 400 watt ballasts I'm using at the moment:

Finally got it all put back together again:



Altogether with the additional lamp on the left running I am pulling just under 1 kilowatt / hour which costs me ~$0.11 per hour

Got my new high intensity LED lamps installed into the grow rack finally

Still need to replace a 400 watt driver for my new 600 watt driver before my electrical is “done”.

I still gotta build the automatic watering irrigation as well as the forced air components before I can finally wrap the grow rack and turn it into a growth chamber finally














I have two 400 watt ballasts that drive all the LED panels but if i want to run the new higher intensity lamps at full strength, the power draw goes up to 650 watt per hour. Doubt i will crank all the way so im thinking the 600 watt will do fine

I swear everyone says get a disco ball and some ecstacy and it will be like the 90’s clubs all over again. Now to come up with a grungy fuckin name like “L.E.Deez nuts”
