What is the quietest extraction fan
As the title says. I'm looking for an extraction fan that is as quiet as a mouse that I can have running in my room and not be able to hear it outside the door.
So whats the quietest you've seen/used?

Re: What is the quietest extraction fan
Pro tip, attach a bunch of ducting to the exhaust side of your fan if you're venting inside. The ducting acts as a muffler almost
And they also make inline mufflers, haven't tried them though
I personally use cheap vivosun 6 and 8 inch fans and I can't hear them when I close the grow room door
They're outside of my tent also

Re: What is the quietest extraction fan
Wow! Seriously when i shut my door my 6" rvk sounds loud, i had to stick it in a lined box in the attic, with a length of acoustic duct on the end to which i attatched a section if larger ducting and then back to the normal size ducting. Now its not too badintegrajosh wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 2:40 pmPro tip, attach a bunch of ducting to the exhaust side of your fan if you're venting inside. The ducting acts as a muffler almost

Re: What is the quietest extraction fan
You could always stick a 6inch silencer/muffler on the outlet end of it where the most noise comes from, it will reduce the noise quite alot will that also even summink simple like adding asccoustic ductiong on outlet will redice lots of the noise, but you need a nice long run of that for it to be effective, lets say at least 6ft length.

Re: What is the quietest extraction fan
I'm using a 6" Hyper Fan Stealth and that seems pretty quiet when using acoustic ducting. Down side being that they are not cheap.
